NovaNet Settings
Simple starting settings for customers sending a stream into NovaNet.
Important: Use the exact profile supplied for your account or workflow when NovaNet gives you one.
Simple Starting Profiles

| 720p30 | About 4 Mbps | Phones, hotspots, new streamers, uncertain event internet. |
| 1080p30 | About 6 Mbps | Home studios, podcasts, churches, schools, stable event internet. |
| 1080p60 | About 9 Mbps | Sports and fast motion when upload and encoder capacity are proven. |
External Encoder Basics
| Setting | NovaNet starting direction |
|---|---|
| Video codec | H.264 for broad compatibility unless NovaNet gives you a different certified profile. |
| Scan | Progressive. |
| Keyframe / GOP | 2 seconds. That is 60 frames at 30 fps and 120 frames at 60 fps. |
| Audio | AAC-LC for normal external encoder workflows. |
| Audio sample rate | 48 kHz is the normal NovaNet downstream standard. |
| Transport | RTMPS/RTMP for broad compatibility. SRT may be preferred for rough internet when a NovaNet SRT endpoint is enabled and tested. |
| Reconnect | Turn it on and test it. |
| Stream key | Keep it private. Never post it in screenshots or public pages. |
Nova Studio Users
If you produce inside Nova Studio, the browser/Studio workflow handles the Program contribution. The selected NovaNet channel remains the final quality authority.
Why NovaNet Uses a Normalizer
Phones, browsers, cameras, and encoders do not all send video in the same way. The NovaNet Normalizer helps make the incoming Program predictable before the selected NovaNet channel handles the final broadcast output.
